Windows 10: Minecraft code refuses to redeem

For whatever reason, whenever I attempt to use a minecraft gift card 35$ to obtain Minecraft for windows 10 it will tell me further instruction is needed and can be found on the card despite no other instruction being listed. I’ve tried both Mojang and the Microsoft Store, as well as the microsoft website with no success. Is this a glitch, or is the fact it had been redeemed on a different website permanently deactivated it?

If you have purchased Minecraft from Microsoft Store, you can go the order history page in your Microsoft account and you will be able to find the redeem code. Refer the article on

redeeming Minecraft

I am trying to redeem free Minecraft and I followed all the steps but Microsoft is not sending a 25 digit code. Its been an extended period of time and I am not sure what to do. I do not have the code. I don't know how to get the code.
