Windows 10: Minecraft Dungeons: Wrong Version Bought?

I didn't even realise there were different launcher version for this, so bought the one from the website, and it doesn't work. Only this morning did I find out via someone else that I should've bought from the Microsoft Store to get the correct Win 10 version of it. Trying to contact customer services is a nightmare - hoping for a refund. Anyone else had this issue, and any luck getting a refund?

Purchased wrong version of Minecraft

Microsoft Store support team and see if they can help you with this issue.

If you have purchased the game from Mojang, then we would suggest you to contact the

Mojang Support team and check for the refund related query.

We would also like to inform you that Minecraft has two collections, i.e.
Minecraft for Windows 10 Starter and Master Collection.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

 

Can't install bought version of Minecraft

I would suggest you to try the steps mentioned below and check if you’re able to play the full version.

1.
Launch the Xbox app.
Sign in to XBOX applications using the same Microsoft Account which was used to purchase Minecraft.


2.
Browse the games to find Minecraft and click on
Playbutton. Then check if it is showing the trail version.
