    Minecraft launcher keeps asking for parental permission after already providing it


    I wanted to allow my son to play multiplayer for which it seems he needed to be added to my Microsoft Family account. After I did that, Minecraft keeps asking to "email for permission" in order to be launched. I've provided that permission numerous times, but it still asks for permission every time and he is unable to launch Minecraft at all.I've tried all of the following without success:- Removing and readding the Minecraft permission- Removing him from my family account- Changing him to an organizer- Removing and reinstalling Minecraft- Resetting Windows reinstallingAt the moment he is un

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    As you have mentioned that Minecraft keeps asking for permission even after providing always allow access. Let’s try some steps to fix the issue.



    Method 1:



    Change the age rating for the allowed apps. As Minecraft game is allowed for 10+ aged users.



    1. Open
      https://account.microsoft.com/family/       on the browser.
    2. Now click on Already set up? Sign in now> option.
    3. Login with the parent account.
    4. Now under the child account click on
      Content restrictions.
    5. Under allow apps and games rated for change the drop down option to a higher age.


    Method 2:



    Remove the app from always allowed list and add again. Refer the article

    Block inappropriate apps, games, and media on Windows 10 and Xbox One    .

    Problem with the minecraft launcher.

    Hi mineblokkies，

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    There are many reasons why you can't log in to Minecraft Launcher, but all of them are due to Microsoft Store and related services. I will provide several methods to try to solve this problem, please refer to the following steps for operation:

    • Clear the cache on Microsoft Store.
    1. Press the Windows logo key + R, type wsreset.exe, and select OK.
    2. After a few seconds a blank command prompt window will appear, which will disappear after about ten seconds and the Microsoft Store will open automatically.This means the cache was cleared successfully.
    • Make sure you're using the Microsoft Store Install Service.
    1. Services.msc can be found by pressing Windows Key + S and typing services.msc.
    2. Locate and double-click the Microsoft Store Install Service; if the status is Running, right-click it and select Restart.
    3. Change it to Automatic if it's disabled, then click Start and OK.
    • Reinstall the Microsoft Store app
    1. Press Windows key + X

      Click and Run Windows PowerShell(run as Administrator)Copy and paste the command below then hit Enter:

    • Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher
    1. Click Start >Settings >Apps，find "Minecraft Launcher" in all apps.
    2. Click on the "Minecraft Launcher" Advanced options >Uninstall the application.
    3. Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Minecraft Launcher", download and install it again, and log in to your account to see if it works.

    ALWAYS wants to ask for permissions, profile says "always allow" but keeps asking for permissions. Have never been able to let my kid play.
