Windows 10: Minecraft on Windows 10

What is wrong with minecraft on windows 10?


I had the game running fine a few months ago, I have changed nothing on my PC but basic updates.


I have as follows


amd 5700xt

amd 3700x

64gb of ram

windows 10 pro

ample HD space


No matter what resolution I attempt to run the game in, it will not boot. It opens the first red loading screen, and then closes itself. I have searched my computer for minecraft files and they do not appear to even be present. I cannot find minecraft of my program list to uninstall it. There is no option in microsoft store for me to uninstall the product, and it says it is up to date, but won't boot it.


I attempted to reset my microsoft store app but that had 0 effect. I rolled back my GFX drivers and that also did nothing. I have tried to turn down my resolution, which also does not make a difference.


When trying to run as administrator, I don't even see that option when right clicking the shortcut, however I am signed in as an administrator. When I go into properties to try to adjust compatibility, the option is greyed out and I can't change it.


At this point, the only thing I can think to do is completely wipe my PC and hopefully that fixes it.


Is there any way for my to uninstall microsoft store and all its related apps?

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
