Windows 10: Minecraft Windows 10 Persistent No Sound Bug Issue

Its been days since I have been trying the solutions provided by the internet. Minecraft does not have sound at all, and only minecraft has this issue in my laptop. I have posted on minecraft forum about it but havent gotten any response.


I have already tried almost all related troubleshooting in windows, reinstalling drivers, sound mixer, reinstalling minecraft, resetting it, adding windows media player 12 feature but cant install windows media pack since mine is not Windows 10 N, updating the drivers, using the drivers from Realtek Website and using headphones.


Any idea how can I solve this issue? It is frustrating because I have just recently bought minecraft and cannot issue a refund for a faulty app. Thanks in advance.

Minecraft for windows 10 , sound is broken

I recently bought the Minecraft for windows 10 to play with my friends , when I launch the game the sound does not work correctly, the sound is EXTREMELY pixelated, I have seen a lot of posts about people who have no sound and have tried the steps to fix
my problem using the steps from their problems and nothing has worked. The sound doesn't make the game unplayable but it does make it extremely unpleasant.

Steps I have tried:

• Uninstalling and reinstalling sound drivers ,
• Updating sound drivers
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft for Windows 10
• Restarting my computer multiple times
• Trouble shooting my sound

Windows 10 - Minecraft Download Issue

• Are you trying to install Minecraft application from Windows Store?
• Do you get any error message?

This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

1. Corrupt Windows Store cache.

2. Conflict between third party applications.

If you are facing this issue while downloading Minecraft from Windows Store, I suggest you to try these steps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to reset Windows Store Cache and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + R keys to open run box.
• Type WSReset.exe and hit
  Enter.

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to disable Antivirus software/ Firewall and check if it helps.

1) Please make sure to re-enable Antivirus software after performing troubleshooting steps.

Minecraft causes sound issues in Windows 10

Please let us know if you receive any error code or error message regarding sound when you play Minecraft?

I would like to if sound works with other apps or is the issue only with Minecraft?

I suggest you to first of all run the audio troubleshooter and also try the steps mentioned in the article below:

Ensure that you try all methods by clicking the device manager to dropdown other options as well.
