    Minimized Applications Return in Windowed Form Instead of Maximized


    Hello, when I alt-tab or try to go back to a open application after minimizing it or going to my desktop, applications that I originally had maximized e.g. Discord, Opera GX, Spotify turn into windowed form, and I have to re-maximize them. Window support was completely unhelpful and just told me this was a 'feature' of a new update, when it is clearly an annoying bug. If anyone here can tell me a potential fix or workaround for this, that would be greatly appreciated.I suspect it has something to do with the new Snap Windows setting in Windows 11, since Spotify resizes to the left side of my

    Thanks, Michelle. The SFC didn't detect any issue. Then I went ahead and ran

    Windows Update Troubleshooter     which I got from the second step you suggested. It found some database error with update which it fixed at the end. I can see now the application windows are minimizing and maximizing properly since then. It usually happens
    when I have multiple heavy applications running at the time. Yesterday I updated regular windows update again. Everything looks fine. Thanks a lot.

    Windows are minimizing and maximizing in the background.

    I have problem with minimizing and maximizing windows in the windows 10 laptop. Some times the applications will minimize and maximize in the background. The maximizing window is not coming foreground. A Microsoft technical chat support associate
    asked me to ask this question here as he cant fix it.

    Windows 10 & slow minimizing/maximizing of applications & searching on HDD

    Hello!

    I recently upgraded to windows 10 and I am experiencing an issue with maximizing and minimizing an application called "Starcraft 2". It appears every 4th/5th attempt at minimizing or maximizing takes up to 40 seconds before going through, during which it is
    impossible to use task manager to end the task and likewise, almost as if the application freezes.

    I use:

    asus x99-pro

    i7 5930k

    16 gb crucial ram

    256 gb crucial SSD

    windows 10 x64

    I had no issues with this in windows 7, and I have tried messing with MSConfig and reinstalling the application as per online suggestions.

    I would also like to know if it is possible to make the cortana/search function be able to search for files inside my old HDD with a windows 7 installation?

    Any further advice?
