Windows 10: Miracast From Desktop to Tablet

Hey all,

I am trying to setup a Miracast connection from my Windows 10 desktop to my Samsung Tab S7+ device. In theory, this should be possible via Miracast & Second Screen.



My desktop is connected via ethernet directly to my AmpliFi Alien router, and then my tablet is connected via WiFi to that router.



I have checked the NDIS Version of my ethernet, and it is 6.50

When I run DXDIAG, I can see "Miracast: Available, with HDCP" at the top, but down below, under the details of my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, it says "Miracast: Not Supported"

Is there anything I can do to get this working? Is it an issue with my graphics card? Is the issue that I don't have any WiFI on my desktop and that I am trying to do this via ethernet?

Let me suggest you to contact the manufacturer of Miracast. To contact the manufacturer, please follow the steps below:

• The name of the OEM + “contact information”
• The name of the OEM + “PC support”

Does Miracast support 4K?

We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
by following the steps below:

• Click Start, then go to Settings >
  Projecting to this PC.
• Check if your device supports Miracast.
