Windows 10: Miracast not supported from windows 10 to Sony IVT 300

I am not able to connect through Miracast to my Sony Home theatre. The SONY Home theatre is visible to this laptop. On connecting the Miracast device displays "connecting..please wait". Subsequently the laptop screen goes blank and screen mirroring terminates from the Sony device. I am able to connect seamlessly from my android phone but not from this laptop, which says its compatible as follows:

I have tried several troubleshooting measures including updation of all the drivers. However, everything has failed.

Does Miracast support 4K?

We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
by following the steps below:

• Click Start, then go to Settings >
  Projecting to this PC.
• Check if your device supports Miracast.

Miracast Support ?


I was trying to see if my PC can use Miracast without using a Miracast Adapter.

My Sony Bravia TV shows it supports Miracast.






My PC i am not sure if it does one section on DxDiag does the other by Display shows it does not.
Is it the Graphics card or Display ? Driver is the newest.

I do not have a WiFi card inside the PC, built into motherboard Intel Ethernet Connection 1218-V ProSet connected to a modem router from the cable company with WiFi (if i explained that part right) it is 2 parts to the equipment. The Intel Ethernet has the latest drivers installed as does the rest of the PC.

Can this work with or without using a Miracast Adapter ?
