Windows 10: Missing app

Not sure if this is the proper forum. Nothing under "Topic" relates to it. If it's wrong, please move and advise.

I'm new to Win 10 and still learning how to use it. Had Win 7 until I upgraded earlier this week.

I installed an app - Microsoft Translator - from the app site. Everything I try, I can't get it to open.

After downloading it, I got a window saying Launch. What comes up is My Feed page. No translator.

When downloaded, it said it was saved to C:/Jack/downloads. When to downloads, not there.

Went to Settings, Apps and Features, it is there. When I click on it all that comes up is My Feed page with all the news, etc.

It's nowhere on Start or my desktop.

Any ideas on how to get it to open? Just wanting to check it out and see if it is better than 2 other translators I have on my desktop.

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

App Icons Missing

• Have you tried searching for a specific app and check if it will appear on the search results?
