Windows 10: Missing cores PLEEEASE HELLP

Please help, I had 4 cores and 4 thresds enabled but after a restart I only have one core in task manager. I tried the msconfig method but it did'nt work. Also the device manager shows 8 cores.

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
