Windows 10: Missing Device

I recently noticed that Windows 10 no longer recognizes the DVD drive in my laptop, I assume that this happenedwith the last update. Where is the best place to go to download this driver? There are a lot of them out there. Please advise.Thanks!

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

typing option under "devices" is missing

I had no spell check in MS Edge text boxes. Searching for solutions suggested Settings -> Devices -> Typing Autocorrect misspelled words. However, this option was not in the devices list!

Solution listed here resolved this. Added English (United States) to my English (United Kingdom) and Typing appeared in the Devices list. I was then able to resolve the missing spell checker in Edge.
