    Missing keystrokes


    My computer won't type random letters (most often 'c' 'e' or 'd') until I press those keys many times. Then after a while it recognizes keystrokes, at first a few, then all of them. This happens in start menu and chrome.

    However when I open notepad or when I have been typing for a while, the keystrokes are all recognized without fail.

    This is not a physical issue with the keyboard. I literally slam the c key eighteen times, then get a couple of c's, then I open notepad and every keystroke is recognized. Then I go back to chrome or start menu, slam c key eighteen times, get a couple of c's.

    After a while the problem goes away. It can't be chrome, because it also happens in the start menu. It doesn't just happen after restart, it sometimes shows up late into a session. It happens early on after a restart much more often, or after the computer has been sleeping.

    Again, hardware issue is ruled out. Without fail if I open a notepad in the middle of having this problem, every keystroke is immediately recognized with no exceptions. It can't just be chrome because I have the same problem in the start menu. I'm really at a loss.

    I don't download random programs and I keep my operating system up to date.

    Win 10 keystrokes go bonkers


    when I hit one key sometimes it drops down a list to select from

    sometimes it takes 2 keystrokes then just hangs

    if I persist in trying Win 10 logs off and I have to log on again.

    maybe the keystroke autocompletion feature?

    Need help. My Win 10 system is now unusable until I resolve this issur.

    Using a second PC to enter this problem description.

    Any thoughts/suggestions?

    For us to isolate your concern with your keyboard, we would like to know the following

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (i.e., updates, software installation)?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Missing keystrokes

    Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop missing keystrokes

    Hi,

    I have a Windows Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop that are missing the first keystroke after it has been of use for some time. It is just the first keystroke and then it works normally.

    I have Windows 10 Pro version 1709

    Is there som kind of fix or setting for this problem?
