Windows 10: Missing Notepad.exe after Windows Update to version 19041.329 of Windows 10 Pro

My Notepad.exe file is missing and it is not in my Recycle Bin, nor is it in System32. I recently updated to version 19041.329 on Windows 10 Pro. I tried to install it from the Windows Store but the Store indicated that my version of Windows was to old. How can I get Notepad please?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

No, you don't! Try this:

1. Create a desktop shortcut for cmd.exe.
2. Right-click this shortcut, then left-click "Run as administrator".
3. Accept the challenge. You will get a black frame.
4. Type these commands and press Enter after each:
   
   cd \Windows
   
   ren notepad.exe *.org
   
   copy e:\notepad.exe
   
   cd System32
   
   ren notepad.exe *.org
   
   copy e:\notepad.exe

Note this:

• Notepad.exe exists in two places.
• You must rename the original version in order to have a safe backout path.
• My commands assume that the new version resides on drive E:\. Adjust as appropriate!
• Whether this version of notepad will work remains to be seen.
