  1. missing signed driver for Multitech modem MT9234MU-IBM

My Multitech modem MT9234MU-IBM has been working well in Win7. Here is the working driver from Multitech website https://www.multitech.com/models/93537292LF.

I got unsigned driver error when I plug it into my new Win10 PC. I am able to load the driver after I "disable Driver Signature Verification". However, it fails after reboot and resume Driver Signature Verification.

    :)

After Upgrading to Windows 10, my MultiTech MT5634ZBA-USB modem won't start

After upgrading to Windows 10, I get "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A device which does not exist was specified" for my MultiTech MT5634AZBA-USB modem which I occasionally still use for faxing documents directly from Microsoft Word on my PC.

I tried uninstalling and letting Windows 10 reinstall it - that didn't help. I tried searching for new drivers, that didn't help - it always said my drivers are up-to-date. The manufacturer doesn't have drivers on their site for Windows 10 for this modem.

Is there anything I can do to get Windows 10 to work with this modem? I have Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

The modem worked fine under Windows 7.

  3. After Upgrading to Windows 10, my MultiTech MT5634ZBA-USB modem won't start

Almost year later but if someone has similar problem - .inf file is not signed. Multitech is not interested in seeking Win10 certification for their device. I'm guessing that if you switch off checking for digital signatures it will work again. I have
not tried it but it is most likely the case as device is recognized as usb-cdc device (does not require additional binaries as it is serviced by usbser.sys driver).

ZTE MODEM is not working on Creators update.

    Hi,

Your modem's driver may not be compatible with the Windows 10 Creators Update, thus the error message you're receiving. Here are our suggestions for fixing the issue:

    1) Update the modem driver through Device Manager.

    • Press your Windows key and type Device Manager.
    • Right-click on it then look for the driver related to your ZTE
      modem.
    • Once located, click on the drop down button and choose Update driver.

    2) Contact the modem's manufacturer.

    • Since this issue also deals with a third-party product, contacting the support team of your manufacturer would also be a good step to take.

Let us know if you need more help.
