    Missing Wireless Network Adapter

Hello! I suddenly encountered an issue where no wifi networks are available. I attempted to resolve this by reinstalling my wireless network adapter. I uninstalled it through the device manager and then restarted the computer. However, the wireless network adapter was not reinstalled and no longer visible, even when I select 'show hidden devices' or refresh the device manager. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you!

    :)

    Hi See if this helps!

    • Open Device Manager, open the drop-down Network adpaters
    • Right-click Network adapters
    • Select Scan for hardware changes
    • If you can't see your Wireless adapter, go to step 11
    • If you can see it, right-click on the adapter
    • Select Uninstall ( this should only uninstall you driver software,
      not delete it
      )
    • Now right-click Network adapters again
    • Select Scan for hardware changes. This should re-detect your wireless adapter)
    • Once detected, restart you machine
    • Make sure your Wireless adapter in Network And Sharing Center is Enabled. Now try what you have to.
    • If you cant find you your Wireless adapter device, you may need to properly install a wireless adapter driver. You'll have to do it perfectly, or have a service person do it for your machine

    Missing Wireless Network Adapter

Wireless adapter goes missing - Lenovo yoga 730

    Hi KatieRamdas!

I'm Louie, a Microsoft Community member and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. Hope you're doing well and safe there.

We recommend you to try the steps below and see if it works:

    1. On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and X at the same time. Then select Device Manager. You’ll be prompted for permission. Click Yes to open Device Manager.

    2. In Device Manager, click View and select Show hidden devices.

    3. Click Network adapters to select it.

    4. Click Action and click Scan for hardware changes.

    5. Double-click Network adapters to expand the list. See if your wireless network adapter (usually the adapter whose name contains the word “wireless”) appears among the list.

If your wireless network adapter doesn’t appear among the list, try to launch Network troubleshooter.

On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and type network troubleshooter.

Then select Identify and repair network problems in the list of search results to run the network troubleshooter.

The network troubleshooter will automatically detect the network problems on your PC.

You just need to follow the steps in the network troubleshooter and see if this issue can get fixed.
