Windows 10: MMC. is blocked. this app has been blocked for your protection. an administrator has...

So far I've tried everything I can. I checked for malware, changed the security settings and took ownership of it, but it didn't help. I've disabled smart screen and changed the UAC settings, reset the local security policy to default and chacked in group policy if there are any settings configured, but nothing helps.



when I enable the built-in admin account it's working, but only if I login from the built-in admin account.



I'm able to open .exe as admin so if I'm opening cmd as an admin and I putt the path there, its also working.



when I run SFC or DISM I get an error that the source files could not be found.



the only thing that worked so far was to disable completely the UAC from the registry but this is very not secure and I don't wanna do this.

Publisher not Trusted, App blocked for 'protection'


Hi all.

I upgraded from 7 to 10 over the weekend. Few minor issues with graphics drivers, but everything was working smoothly.

When I went to open my VPN (Torguard), I received a UAC error message, stating that the app had been blocked for my protection, citing an untrustworthy publisher.

It was working fine with Windows 7, and is a reasonably well-used app.

I googled around, and activated the administrator account and re-installed on that account. Unfortunately, the same error occurred. Most other searches have suggested the same.
I have disabled Windows SmartScreen, and there isn't a 'Run Anyway' option.

• Log in to https://familysafety.microsoft.com/ using your Microsoft Email account.
• Find the user that is correspond to the computer account on the Windows that you are having issue with.
• Click on "App Restrictions".
• Under App Restrictions, click on "App list".
• Here, you can Allow or Block the Apps/Games that you want.
