    Modify System Environmental Variables

Dear staff! I need to modify the System Environmental Variables specifically the PATH variable from my local user already set as administrator but these options are still greyed out for me, in order to setup Android Studio together with Flutter component. I already tried this from the Administrator account of the PC but that still doesn't make Flutter recognize Android Studio's SDK. I couldn't find a solution online. Windows version: 10 Home edition

    Environmental Variables Unexpected Behaviour

I wanted to include some environmental variables today and found some strange goings on. The variable I wanted to change was simply to add a PATH.

In the case of changing a user's variables:
It would be accepted but when I did a PC restart I was presented with a new blue screen that gave me the following options:
1/ Continue (which restarted the PC)
    2/ Use a device
    3/ Troubleshoot
    4/ Turn off your PC

In the case of changing the system variables:
It would take me to the new interface and let me add my new path (through folder browse) but it would overwrite the last entry in the list. Adding a second new path did the same thing.

    Anyone have any ideas?

After this post I went back in and tried using the edit line facility. I was able to exit out of the environmental variables window but I was not able to Click OK on the System Properties Window. Further I was not able to close this window at all - including the X in the top right hand corner.

Finally found the problem, I was using a file location for 1 of the paths.

Notepad++ spellchecker (environmental variables path issue)

I think all you're seeing in Win 10 is a more sophisticated environmental variable editor that lists each separate item in PATH to deskill edits, rather than listing them contiguously in a single line with ; separators.

    To add, click New

The video is for Win 8
