    Monitor Grouping

So a couple of days ago, I ordered a double female hdmi to single male hdmi adapter for my HP laptop.

The adapter works, if you would even call it that. I have a really nice 32" monitor which I wanted to use as my main display, but I also have a 20" monitor which I wanted to use for other things (such as a video for when I want to watch something as I work on schoolwork).

This adapter I bought just arrived today, and it works but it doesn't do what I want it to. What it basically does is merge the two monitors into one. I can't identify either the monitors as 1, 2, or 3, because my laptop is classified as 1, and both monitors are both considered 2.

Is there anything I can do on my laptop to fix this situation and get all three monitors (that's including my laptop) to show a different part of the screen?

    :)
