Windows 10: Monitor length

I have a 23-inch monitor connected to my desktop. I'm gonna switch to a laptop of 15 inches in the future. I want to get used to 15 inches. can I change the length of my monitor to 15 inches? the rest of the unused space would be black.

Trouble with 2 monitors

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

i have a problem to connect 2 monitors.

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
