  1. Monitor not starting on startup sequence

When I turn my desktop PC (Dell XPS-8920, running Win10 Pro) the monitor appears to turn on, but then won't bring up the login screen; screen appears to be dark. If I cycle power to the monitor (HP 23tm Touch Monitor) the screen recovers and I can complete the login sequence.

Are there any tests to isolate the issue to Windows or to the Monitor?

    Thanks.

    :)

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds

  4. Monitor not starting on startup sequence

Cannot launch Settings on startup menu

    Hi Luky,

Thank you for posting your reply.

I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

    • In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
    • Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.
After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.

    Regards
