  1. Monitor Wont go to Max Resolution

Hello, I was using two monitors, 1 display was 1440 x 900 but theres no problem with that display. The 2nd display how ever wont go to its max resolution. The second monitor is an older prehistoric 4:3 monitor which can reach up to 1280x1024 but I woke up today and found out that my second monitor was now 1024 x 768. I thought that i would be able to switch it back to my normal resolution 1280 x 720 but when i tried it, my monitor went black and said OUT OF RANGEFurther details on the ocd screen, it said that the working range was H = 30-81 KHz and V = 60 - 75 Hz Im assuming these were the

Different VGA max resolution and HDMI max, Sony TV

I wish that I could write something helpful. Getting full resolution out of the TV looks like it would require some sort of hack that I can't supply. I doubt that you'd want to use 1080i (interlaced, 25fps in Europe), even if your graphics card permitted that.

I'm surprised that a TV panel has a native resolution of 1680 X 1050 (16:10 aspect ratio, as you write). 10 years ago, I had a Sharp "720p" TV, and I believe that it was 1366 X 768 (approximately 16:9).

The attached shows the officially supported resolutions for the TV. I see that 1440X900 isn't on the list for VGA.

Not sure what to suggest, other than replacing the Bravia with a 1920 X 1080 monitor or an HD TV.

  3. Second monitor screen resolution problem

    Hi,

For us to properly isolate the issue with your second monitor screen resolution, we would like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?

    • When did the issue first begin?

    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you try resetting your monitor settings, and check if the issue still persists. You may refer to your monitor on how to reset it.

We look forward to your response.
