Windows 10: Monitor

Hello,


I have a Surface Book 2, with a new dock USB-C which I have a Dell monitor plugged into to have a second screen for work.

The second screen randomly goes black between 1-30minutes for 0.5 - 3 seconds.
I have also tried another monitor with an HDMI cable and still have the same issues.
I used an older doc, with an adaptor for a digital display, and had no issue with a second monitor.
I have tried plugging in the Dell monitor via a USB-C cable into the Dock, and it still turns blacks out from time to time the sound stays works ok
I have tried plugging in the Dell monitor via a USB-C cable into the Laptop, and it still does the same.
I have updated drivers of monitor and graphics
I have updated the dock
I have updated the monitors

Tried monitors into other computers, no issues.


I reset my laptop and started afresh in case an update installed badly.


Spending over $400 on a dock, and buying a new monitor to try and fix the issues, and then they continue to happen, is a little frustrating.


Any support would be welcome.

Trouble with 2 monitors

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

i have a problem to connect 2 monitors.

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
