Windows 10: More than 1 sign in

I have windows 10. I have had only one microsoft account that is an auto sign in and I don't remember what the old password was. Now I have a another account that I want to be separate from the first one.

When signing in, there is the date and time page; then there is the account page where I just click my name and I'm in. A friend has that page that lists the accounts separately and she clicks on the one she wants and types her password and she's in. That's what I want. Everytime I read some solutions they only have a solution if it is an email account. This is not for an email only....I can do that.


I want 2 accounts that are independent from the other.


Existing account is a default sign in that I don't have the password for.


I don't want a default sign in.


I do not want a solution thru Edge

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

Hi,

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.

1. Are you able to login with other sign in methods?

2. Are you referring to On screen keyboard or touchscreen?

If yes I would suggest you to check in other applications after signing in.

If you are referring to touch keyboard, I would suggest touch calibration and then reinstall the drivers from manufacturing website.

Method 1: Please follow the below steps and check if it helps,

1. Go to Run by pressing Windows + R simultaneously.

2. Type devmgmt.msc and then
Enter.

3. Right click on the touch screen and then update the drivers.

Method 2:

• Enter Calibrate in the search box, and then tap or click
  Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input to open Tablet PC Settings.
• Check that the monitor shown in the Display field matches the screen you want to calibrate.
• Tap or click Calibrate, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
