mouse control not working when projecting Andriod phone screen to Windows 11 "Wireless Display"

many users have reported lost of mouse control when they projected their Andriod phone screen to Windows 11 via the "Wireless Display" feature.A Microsoft moderator How do i enable input to wireless display in windows 11 - Microsoft Communityclaimed that the Wireless Display cannot control Andriod, but he was wrong. I am able to use my Windows 11 Keyborad to control the Andriod phone. It's only MOUSE CONTROL not working. Is there a fix for the mouse control yet?

  2. Wireless Display will not project

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It's unfortunate that you are facing this issue. Let me assist you to resolve the issue.

To be able to mirror the screen on a third-party device, you need to make sure that the source as well as the receiver have Miracast support. If the manufacturer of the third-party device has mentioned that the device supports wireless display, then
you can be rest assured of the Miracast compatibility with the device.

To use miscasting on your computer, please follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    • To access project option on Windows 10, press the
      Window + P keys together.
    • If your computer supports the Miracast display, then you will see an option as
      Add a wireless display.
    • Click on Add a Wireless display. It will start searching for the new displays which are available in the range provided. Once you find the required device on the search results, click on the
      device name.
    • Now Windows will install the required drivers on the device and shortly you will see the third part display displaying your device.
    • Later if you want to disconnect the device, you can do the same from your computer by going to the project screen (Windows + P keys) and clicking on the
      disconnect option.

  3. Can't Project screen to my wireless display in Windows 10

    Hello,

I've already tried that but unfortunately it seems to work only for locally attached display devices. There is no option to select a wireless display, etc.

In that link provided, you can see where you used to be able to point to the lower-right corner of the screen and add project devices but that option no longer exists.

    Thanks

    display projection problem

    Hi Leerance,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I can imagine the inconvenience you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to fix the issue. However, I would appreciate if you could answer a few questions to narrow down the issue in order to provide you with better assistance.

    a. Are you trying to project the screen on a TV or on a different monitor?

    b. How are you trying to project - wirelessly or using an HDMI/VGA cables?

    c. What exactly happens when you try to project your screen?

    d. Do you get any error message?

I would suggest you to try the steps provided below and check these are helpful in projecting your screen.

    • First you need a video cable for making the physically connection. For better picture quality, you should connect the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via the DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.
    • Open the "display settings" in your computer and activate output to the TV screen. You can either mirror content of your computer on the TV or extend the display just like a dual monitor screen.
    • Pick up your TV remote and switch to "External Inputs" from the menu. You will need to change the default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "Video 2" depending on how you have made the connection.
Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer as sometimes it may fail to recognize external display.

You may also need to change the screen resolution of your TV using the Display settings in your Control Panel else the picture may appear distorted.

If, however, you are trying to project your screen wirelessly, I would suggest you to refer to the information provided in the following article:
