Unfortunately, the option to manually install "optional" updates has been removed from Windows Update... so Windows can now decide to keep overwriting the drivers you install. This may not be a problem once a bad driver is removed from Windows Update, but down the road is going to keep you from installing and keeping the drivers you want to use.

Actually, there is a way to stop specific updates from Windows Update. There is a link on one of the threads that leads to the info required. See this link:

  3. So far no auto update has occurred for my NVidia driver since I rolled it back to 353.30 a few days ago.

It shouldn't as the update was pulled from Windows Update. *Smile

Every time I go to reinstall 353.30 on windows 10 after removing the old driver I get the error "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". Any idea?

  5. Check device manager and use CC Cleaner's free version to clean out the registry. Shut down and turn off the computer, not just reboot. Check your uninstall list to see if there is anything still there. Otherwise, I am stumped.

Thanks for the response - I must've caught it in between windows auto installing 353.30 (which is fantastic news by the way) and me trying to install it myself. Reboot fixed everything!

My second display went off today and then when I checked windows update I had an update from nvidia. So far so good. No screen tearing or weird cursors.

Is this the old driver? The date seems a bit old but it has definitely fixed the problems?

Windows downloaded a new nvidia driver that has resolved the issue.

Unfortunately the update (if it was indeed an update) didn't work. Screen tearing is back on the second monitor. *Sad

  10. Hi guys .
congratulations , this issue has been solved .
there was an update in background ( silent update )
i just saw the screen flashing and some pop-up windows (CMD) and screen goes black
so realized that this is an update for graphics card .
and now the problem is solved completely .
    be happy *Party .

  11. A similar thing happened to me yesterday after my cat walked across the keyboard. Checked the accessibility settings but found no settings turned on there so I decided to wait the next day to do more checks. Put my desktop to sleep for the night and then when I woke it up this morning oddly enough the cursor was normal !

  12. goto your display settings in windows. not the one that comes with your graphics card and set the resolution to one your pc can handle then go into the refresh rate and set it to 59 Hertz. windows 10 had set mine to 20 Hertz and now there is no glitch in my mouse or display anymore. I have a radeon hd 7790 card and this glitch had nothing to do with graphics cards lol.
