Mouse cursor working on its own

Hi,I have windows 10 laptop for quite a long and recently my mouse has started playing up. It starts working on its own at a very high speed selecting every icon on the desktop and start menu. It just becomes impossible even to restart until I attach an external mouse which allows me a little control. I have tried all the processes so far but they all work temporarily. Is there anything I can do to fix this?Things I have tried.1. Adjusting the speed of the mouse.2. Uncheck pointer precision.3. Driver update of mouse, keyboard and touchpad.4. Disabling Realtek audio HD5. adjusting the sensitivi

Aaaand the ironic thing there is, that no doubt WOULD void the warranty.

Seriously though, thanks for the suggestion but I plan to wait for their response. They said they can't authorize a replacement unless all the troubleshooting steps they emailed me don't work, which they didn't.

I've also contacted Newegg, and they said they'll do anything they can to help get me a manufacturer replacement in the case of the mouse not working with any of Logi's troubleshooting steps and if Logi refuses to replace it.

I had an MX500 that easily outlasted this one with lots of use. Seems to me the more complex the mouse, the more failure prone they are.

    No mouse cursor

    Hi,

It is possible that the system did not recognize the mouse of your computer after it booted up. This can be the reason why you do not see the mouse cursor. Kindly perform a power cycle to refresh the power of the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Shutdown the computer.
    • After shutting it down, remove the battery (if you're using a laptop) and disconnect the computer from the charger.
    • Wait for 1 minute.
    • After 1 minute, attach the battery and turn on the computer.
    • Check if you will see the mouse cursor.

Let us know how it goes.
