Titanwolf Specialist - Customisation of buttons does not work.


I have been in contact with the maker of the mouse & they say that it is compatible with Windows 10 Pro. The mouse can be used on other PCs with no problems but on Windows 10 Pro it just won't work properly. I have installed & uninstalled the software from the manufacturer but to no avail. I've tried installing etc via safe mode. There does not appear to be a *.inf file in the manufacturer's installation directory after running their installation application so I see no way to do anything their.


I use the mouse with SolidWorks at work. I map various keyboard keys & macros to the extra mouse buttons & have been doing this for MANY years. Why nothing works in Windows 10 is beyond me.


So, how do I get Win10 Pro to play nicely with the button customisation software? The problem is related to Windows 10 so please don't ask me to contact the mouse manufacturer as I have already been in touch with them & they are positive it's a windows 10 issue.

Perhaps there is an update or hot fix that I don't know about that can remedy this problem or a method that I am unaware of. We have poor IT support here at my workplace so it's pretty much up to me to sort this out.


I have other devices that just don't play well with windows 10 but if I can find a way to resolve the mouse issue, I may be able to apply a similar methodology to get other devices playing nicely too.


Any help greatly appreciated.

Wireless mouse "driver is unavailable" issues

The error Driver is unavailable means that there is no available driver installed for your mouse that’s why it is not working. We suggest that you check the mouse driver from the device manager. Follow the steps below:

Windows 10 mouse issues

I suggest you to run the Hardware Troubleshooter by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persists.

• Type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on troubleshooting, then click on “Hardware and sound”.
• Under Hardware and sound, click on “hardware and devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

If the issue still persists, update the drivers for mouse by following the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Mice and other pointing devices’.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’.
