Mouse point to select sensitivity. Let me give you an example. I want to save a picture from a web site so I right click it click SAVE IMAGE AS this bring up an explorer window I navigate to the top folder of my picture album click it to open. When it opens there are sub folders and other files stored there if the pointer is resting on a file named ados33 and the new file is named benandsallt66 in a split second the file name in the box below will be renamed to ados33 before I even have a chance to move the pointer. Used to have a few seconds time lag to move the pointer off the file now nothing. And I do have AUTOMATICALLY MOVE POINTER TO THE DEFAULT BUTTON IN DIALOG BOX checked under mouse properties. How do I slow this down or increase the time it takes before the file name is changed to the file name the pointer is on? Also sometimes just putting the pointer on a file or folder will open it whether or not I click. I need this to stop.

• Open Settings.

• Select View installed update history.
• Choose the latest update and select uninstall.

Mouse sensitivity changed by itself. It feels weird, incosistant, like it's on ice.

We see that you are having issues with the sensitivity of your mouse. Is the Enhance pointer precision in your PC enabled? If not, you can follow the steps below:

• Type Mouse in the Search bar.
• Click on Mouse and Touchpad settings.
• Click on the Additional mouse options.
• Click on the Pointer Options tab.
• Uncheck the Enhance pointer precision checkbox.

If the issue persists, we suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Follow the steps provided below:

• Type Troubleshooting in the Search bar and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the top left corner.
• This will display the list of troubleshooters which are built-in in the computer. You can click on
  Hardware and Devices from the list and you can run the troubleshooter.
