Windows 10: Mouse pointer is invisible in some full screen games. It works, but cant see it at all.......

Was feeling nostalgic and installed Red Alert 3: Uprising...

it worked perfectly fine months ago, then i had to reboot everything in my laptop cos of severe malware intrusion.


The cursor is visible when i launch the game, but once i moved it even a little bit, it disappears...

If i move around, it can still highlight, select, scroll up/down using the wheel... basically every in game mouse function.

The only problem is i can't see it


Already disabled pointer trails to no avail...

Already changed DPI Settings.... nothing

Already changed display size to 100%.... still nothing

Restarted and reinstalled several times now.... still nothing

Exhausted all options in the troubleshooter (except call tech support)... still nothing


all other games are fine, except this one, Help.

Mouse cursor invisible when playing any full screen game (Windows 10)

For the past day and a half whenever I am playing a fullscreen game I can not see my cursor, however, it does still work as in I am still able to press buttons or play the game normally outside of menus. I have tried to generic results given to everyone
which were designed for Windows8:

Method 1:

I would suggest you to disable it and check for the results. Follow the steps to do so:

• Press Windows and X keys together and select Control Panel.
• Click on Mouse.
• Navigate to pointer options tab.
• Under Visibility, uncheck the box which says “display pointer trails”.
• Click on OK to close the window.

Check if you find the same issue. If yes, move to the next method.

Method 2:

Follow the steps below to change the display text size to 100 % and check if it resolves the issue:

• Right Click on the desktop screen and select Personalize.
• Click on Display.
• Check the box that says “let me choose one scaling level for all my display”. Choose Smaller (100%)-default.
• Click on Apply. Restart the game and check if the point becomes invisible again.

I have tried restarting my laptop (dell latitude e7470)

I am running Windows 10 as of 9/23/17

Windows Defender is on

Mouse pointer gone, but click works!

Hi!
I don't know if it is the Geforce driver (tested on other pc: no, it is not guilty) but since yesterday updating Geforce drivers to the latest version, this morning my Razer mouse is fubar.

I see no pointer. But it is shown in Device Manager, works also in BIOS (pointer shows up), and also left and right buttons seem to work, wherever the (invisible) pointer is...

Is this driver related, or a half-dead mouse? The mouse also behaves bad connected to a Win 10 Surface without Razer or geforce drivers, so it looks to be the mouse.

Maybe the cause lies in that last week I said herre this mouse was durable...?!?!?!
