Windows 10: Mouse pointer not showing but but working

While I usually sit on my laptop and it works fine, today I decided to play a game on my PC's I don't use bigger screen, using an HDMI cable. The monitor is a bit outdated but works fine. The game I am referring to is mouseaccuracy.com. The refresh rate of the monitor is 144, and everything seems fine until I try and click the circles. The pointer is crippled and makes jumps across the entire screen. Even though at some points I can't see it I can still click and it works, it just doesn't show up. The mouse and everything works fine on my laptop usually, and the animation of the circles and everything works fine so the refresh rate is probably not the problem. The HDMI cable works fine, I took it from my old PS3, so the cable is probably not the problem. The mouse is probably not the problem either as it works on my laptop's screen. The problem probably is the monitor, but not its refresh rate, since after taking out the HDMI cable from my laptop and connecting back to my PC, which I haven't used in months I noticed the cursor having the exact same problems. I even changed the mouse to another one and the latter had the same problems, maybe a bit aggravated but I might have not noticed correctly. Sorry for my bad english.

Mouse Pointer

Hi,

You can customize your mouse in a variety of ways in Windows. To change how your mouse pointer looks, you can follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the Start menu, then click Control Panel.
• Select Mouse, then go to the Pointers tab.
  
• Select the pointer you prefer from the drop-down list, click
  Apply > OK.

If you want to use a pointer that is not on the list, you can download it online. After that, go to Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers tab again, then click
Browse.

Mouse pointer gone, but click works!

Hi!
I don't know if it is the Geforce driver (tested on other pc: no, it is not guilty) but since yesterday updating Geforce drivers to the latest version, this morning my Razer mouse is fubar.

I see no pointer. But it is shown in Device Manager, works also in BIOS (pointer shows up), and also left and right buttons seem to work, wherever the (invisible) pointer is...

Is this driver related, or a half-dead mouse? The mouse also behaves bad connected to a Win 10 Surface without Razer or geforce drivers, so it looks to be the mouse.

Maybe the cause lies in that last week I said herre this mouse was durable...?!?!?!

 

Mouse pointer 'None' scheme not working

In regards to your concern, kindly help me with following questions:

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
   
2. Is it a wired mouse or a wireless mouse?
   

Driver incompatibility is one of the possible reasons why you're having issues with your mouse. Having said that, we recommend performing the methods below:

Method 1: Uninstall the mouse drivers from device manager.

• Press Windows + R keys to open
  Run window.
  
• Type devmgmt.msc in the run option and click
  OK.
  
• Search for the mouse drivers and click Uninstall.
  
• Restart the computer and check if that helps you.
  

Method 2: If Method 1 doesn’t resolve the issue, you can install the latest mouse drivers from the manufacturer’s website for the mouse pointer to function.
