  1. Mouse Problems After Troubleshooting Ethernet Connection

Hey, I am using the logitech m705 and I have noticed that right after troubleshooting for my ethernet connection, which often went off and on at times, disconnecting from ethernet and connecting to wifi, going back and forth... So I opened my browser while my ethernet wasn't working and it gave me the option to troubleshoot or fix the problems, and I did that. Again, I immediately noticed that my horizontal sensitivity was off.. vertical seems fine to me... is there a way to revert the changes windows made? I'm using a diff mouse but my other one was much better. Any help would be appreciated. Have had this problem before and fixed it by swapping usb ports but this time it didn't work. Tried everything, including SFC.

    :)

    troubleshoot a mouse problem

    Hi Sean,

This issue occurs due to various reasons. One of which is outdated mouse drivers. Additionally, we would like to know the make and model of the mouse that you are using.

As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest following the steps provided on this article:

    Problems with mouse cursor lockup.

Aaaand the ironic thing there is, that no doubt WOULD void the warranty.

Seriously though, thanks for the suggestion but I plan to wait for their response. They said they can't authorize a replacement unless all the troubleshooting steps they emailed me don't work, which they didn't.

I've also contacted Newegg, and they said they'll do anything they can to help get me a manufacturer replacement in the case of the mouse not working with any of Logi's troubleshooting steps and if Logi refuses to replace it.

I had an MX500 that easily outlasted this one with lots of use. Seems to me the more complex the mouse, the more failure prone they are.
