Windows 10: Mouse scroll stops working for no reason.Help!

Hello.

Sometimes the scrolling on my mouse stops working and i have to click the middle mouse button,to the circle with the arrows,and scroll a bit that way.After that it works fine for some time.

Iv tried different browsers,uninstalling drivers,changing USB ports and of course rebooting.

In runing Win 10,latest.And everything else should be uptodate.

mouse stops scrolling


hi everyone

sometimes when I scroll down with my mouse it stops scrolling, if I press esc. button or the down arrow it starts to scroll.
I am using an external mouse, but it happens with the mouse on the keyboard and if I try with another mouse
it does the same thing.

Can anyone help with this problem

The mouse scroll wheel suddenly stopped working might be due to a variety of reasons. One of which is due to outdated mouse device driver.

That being said, have you checked from your mouse driver manufacturer's website if they have a latest update for your mouse device?

What were the recent changes made on your PC before the mouse device started to not work?

Have you tried unplugging the mouse device, rebooting the PC, then plug the mouse device again? Did the same issue occur?

Is your Windows 10 up-to-date?

In the meantime, let's run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
to find and repair problems with your devices and hardware.

• Right-click the Start icon, then select Control Panel.
