Windows 10: Mouse sensitivity keeps changing

I've had this very strange and annoying problem with my mouse sensitivity for quite some time now. It every now and then keeps increasing whilst I'm playing games. I've had this problem on two mouses so I'm starting to think its my computer.

Here is a bit of a timeline: My first mouse an MSI gaming mouse worked fine for about a year and a half when suddenly, its sensitivity highly increased out of nowhere, the sens in pointer options hadn't changed and neither had my in-game sens. So I lowered the sens in settings and in-game and it worked for a bit. A couple of days later it happened again without any explanation. But this time, lowering the sens worked outside of games but the sens in-game was still crazy. I tried unplugging my mouse, restarting my computer, turning off enhance pointer precision but nothing worked. So I decided to get a new mouse. Now, I ordered a new mouse a Logitech G203 LIGHTSYNC but in the meantime I tried two other mouses in my house, a Logitech and an MSI Interceptor DS B1 which I used both for maybe a month whilst waiting for my other mouse. They both worked fine which was really strange. I should also mention that between changing mouses, I had to adjust the sens for each mouse as it was a bit different on each, not sure if this matters. Anyways, my G203 arrived and worked fine for about a month, until yesterday when the sens highly increased out of nowhere, just like the first MSI mouse. Lowering the sens in settings and in-game worked for a bit. But now it doesn't work in-game. I'm starting to think it's my computer an MSI gaming laptop, on Windows 10. Can anyone please help?

Changing mouse sensitivity on the fly?

Probably, your are at the whim of your mouse driver... try googling your mouse model and "sensitivity"

I'm splurging on a G5 for home - I got one at work and it's the tits - two buttons below the wheel change the sensitivity instantly, irregardless of the applicaiton (but you also have that choice). Best mouse I've ever, ever used. So if you do end up buying a mouse... *Smile

 

Problem with mouse sensitivity.

We appreciate your response. Since all possible troubleshooting steps have been exhausted, what we would suggest next for you is to uninstall the latest update. Once the update has been uninstalled, kindly check if the sensitivity of your mouse improves.
Here are the steps to uninstall the latest update:

• Open Settings.
• Go to Update and Security and select Windows Update.
• Select View installed update history.
• Choose the latest update and select uninstall.

any one know of a program. basicly i just want to use a hotkey and change my mouse sensitivity ingame. i dont want to waste money on some gamer mouse, because changing that sensitivity ingame does the same results, but i want to do this on the fly.
