Windows 10: Move my OS from HDD to SSD

If I move my OS to my SSD from my HDD, whether I decide to clone the hard drive or do a clean Reinstall, will it still recognize my desktop? like will all of my applications still be installed and will all of my games be installed along with all of my save files and/or memory files? Will my Desktop still have all of the same shortcuts and will my User profile still be the one used to login or will I have to do all of that again? Thanks for any Input.

Hi,

use steps you suggested, there should be no problem.

Just replace HDD with SSD first then run installation. Do not forget to remove Windows files from HDD after the end of a process.

 

Cloned OS to SSD want to delete old OS on hdd

already have hdd as booting as a regular drive not boot

and ssd is primary boot. just want some more room on hdd but if its to difficult to get rid of os on hdd its fine i can use it as a backup os if ssd fails

 

Transfer of licenced OS from HDD to SSD

I have recently purchased an SSD. Originally windows was installed in HDD. Now I want to transfer the OS from HDD to SSD. Will I lose my LICENSED version of windows, if I do this? And it is mentioned in settings that my windows is activated with the help
of digital license key. Where to find that digital license and how to transfer OS from HDD to SSD?
