Windows 10: Move Windows 10 from a laptop hdd to a new sdd drive

Hello.I have recently bought an ssd drive of 240Gb to install into my old Dell Inspiron 15r which currently has a 1Tb hdd and wish to use the sdd drive as the boot drive and to hold a few important programs and the hdd drive for holding all the other applications and any new ones. Because the ssd drive is much smaller than the hdd I cannot just simply transfer everything over so I'm looking for a simple, free method to move Windows 10 which has been constantly updated since I bought the laptop containing, I think, originally Windows 8 maybe from the hdd to the ssd. Can anyone suggest how

SDD and a HDD windows 10

I have Windows 10 installed on a 525gb SDD. I have a 1tb HDD that I'm using for my data. I've been reading a lot of conflicting tweaks to use on the SDD. Help!

1. Should I eliminate the swap on the SDD? I do a have a windows managed swap file on the HDD.

2. Should I turn off indexing on the SDD?

3. Should I turn off system restore on the SDD?

Most of the articles I've been reading have been a couple of years old. I know that the current SDDs are better but do these same tweaks apply now?

Any info and suggestions are appreciated.

I have a genuine licensed windows 10 installed on my computer HDD and I want to replace HDD with SDD. Is there any way to transfer genuine windows 10 from my computer HDD to a new SDD without voiding license?

i just bought a asus windows 10 752 with a gtx 960m and it came with a sdd 128gb sdd and 1tb hdd

i would like to make the hdd to default drive to install software, updates and files like pdf and word files, how a make a default place so they always go to my hdd
