Windows 10: Moved hard drive to new PC, now product key is lost: error code 0xC004F213

Moved hard drive to new PC, now "activate windows: error code 0xC004F213"


I've used this version of Windows since 2018 update from Windows 8.1.

Can I get windows Activated again? I can try to dig up the old Windows 8.1 license key if that helps, but I do not want to buy Windows 10 again, just because I moved the hard dirve to a new PC.

Just installed a new hard drive

I reinstalled a new hard drive and reinstalled windows on my pc but now its telling me that my key is not activated with windows 10 activation error 0xc004f213...

 

Error 0xC004F213 after changing the hard drive.

I changed the hard drive on an old computer after it failed and now I get this error
0xC004F213 when trying to re-activate windows.

Okay, so a few weeks ago I used the help of this forum to find out my product type, I have a retail license which should have been digitally licenses to my account.

After signing in, it's saying: Windows reported that no product key was found on your device. Error code: 0xC004f213

I've tried running through the troubleshooter and the virtual agent and still no further forward.

Now it will not let me contact a real agent because 'There was an error connecting you, please try again later or use our virtual agent'

I'm pretty lost now, what do I do next?
