Windows 10: Movies and TV app colours fade

Also using HP Pavilion x360 (with Core i5 8th gen processor).

Movies and TV app colours fade

I recently got a new HP pavillion x360 and I noticed that when ever I watch something with the Movies and TV app, after the mouse disappears the colours fade. It looks as though there is a grey filter on the screen. But, as soon as I move the mouse again
the colours come back. Why does this happen and is there a way to stop it from happening?

An app error or incorrect settings can cause problems when using Movies and TV in Windows 10. For better assistance, may we know if this happens on all the movies that you watch? What changes have you made prior to getting this issue? What troubleshooting steps
have you done so far?

Movies & TV app not working properly.

Hi,

I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key.
• Type Windows Powershell.
• Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.
