  1. Moving away from Storage Spaces

I would like to migrate my disk array out of the storage space and into a better and easy to manage disk array. Planning on removing one drive at a time in SS and continue to use the actual hdds I have.

Looking for advice on which raid or whatever I should use. I'm wanting to maximize space availability, I'll eventually create a mirrored backup when I have the drives. Will I run into any complications doing this and adding additional drives together in windows? What's best?

    But I note:

What Windows build/edition are you using on your old PC, and what on your new?

Was commenting on the pic in post #21. Not suggesting anything. It just looked like the step you were doing was incomplete.

Moving from Dynamic Disk to Storage Space: During setup of my gaming PC I created a mirror dynamic disk on the 2 data disks because The Internet suggested it. Now I know this was a bad idea since it de-synchs more often than it should even if the disks ran 24/7 since the early '80s. Is there an easier way than...
