    Moving programs to new PC


    Mods please move this if it’s not in the correct place. I’m not the most computer savvy person. I’m getting a new desktop pc and I’d like to move a couple of programs from my old Dell that’s running Windows 10 (home)64 bit to a HP that has Windows 11 (home) 64 bit. I don’t have my quicken installation disc so I’m wondering if (and how) I can transfer the whole program? Same goes for income tax software. I have an external hard drive that I can export music and photos to then import them to...

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Move programs and folders to a new PC

    Hi Lee,

    If you have a large external storage device (USB or external hard drive), you can move all your important files there and then transfer them from that device to the new PC. If you have the executable files of your programs, you will have to open them to install
    them. Otherwise, you must download them again.

    In addition to the above information, you can move all your files to OneDrive and then download them to a new computer.

    If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):
