    Moving Windows License to a new PC


    Hello,

    Soon I will have a new PC which is custom built, so Windows will not be pre-activated. Is there any way I can transfer the license from my current PC to the new PC? I do not have a product key and I do not wish to re-purchase Windows 10 again unnecessarily.

    i bought an win 8.1 pro retail license 3 years ago

    i upgraded my win8.1 to win 10 pro

    for now i wanna change my pc new m.b and new gpu ram or ....

    so can i move my license to new pc too?

    How to move Win 7 license over to a new rig?

    AFAIK, OEM licenses will have a Product ID that usually contain "OEM" within it - it can be found under Control Panel > System > Windows Activation (usually).
