    I'm using IE-11 and firefox on my windows 10. if it wasn't for these guys Cliff S and Roban in here I would still be using that edge explorer they told me how to fix the problem...

    LOL

    My room mate got 10 and he joked that Microsoft is watching W10 users every move and are quite disappointed to see that my roomie just installed W10 and the first thing he did was to download Google Chrome.

    Which actually is somewhat true, the first thing he did download was Chrome then he closed Edge and it's not likely to ever be opened again. Just like with me, Edge had it's shot at wowing me but it still felt like not ready for prime time release so it's not likely that I'll ever bother to open Edge again unless I'm forced to for some site.

    Frankly I'm tired of all the browsers and other programs fighting and reminding you that they want to be the "default" program. I wish they would all just shut up and let me choose what I want in peace. But like I said above, it's about the money to be gained by being the default.

    I'm sure they do but the LOL part to me was that here he has a brand new operating system, brand new browser to try out and the very first thing he wants to do and does is to download Chrome. (which in all honestly I would have done to if I hadn't done the upgrade that left my Chrome sitting just fine)

    First time I launched Firefox after upgrading to 10 it asked as I thought it would if I would like to make it my default browser. Been that way ever since.

    I'll be danged. I thought I had tried that already but just did it (again??) and you are correct. I set Seamonkey as default browser and Cortana opened it to do the web search.
