    Sorry to revive this old thread but I was having the same problems with .mp3 (and other) files on 64Gb Micro SD Card used with a Windows 10 Tablet.

    Solution for me was make partition Primary then format to exFAT. Then there are no issues with .mp3 files or with playing them on various installed media players.

    Previously I tried NTFS, FAT32 and both logical vs primary. All had issues with corruption or windows reading incorrect file size.

    My problem turned out to be the generic micro SD cards I was using. Bought some decent (though considerably more expensive, given the sizes I needed) name-brand ones, and they all work fine.
