MS 365 long standing inconsistency between office products

I've been using Office since the early 1990s - Word for Windows 2.0 as I recall - and have never understood why MS haven't resolved some UI inconsistencies between the various products. I'm currently using MS 365 and they are still there. One that I always set when I install a new version is the default file location, both for opening and saving files. Excel & PowerPoint - need to type the full path Word & Access - have a Browse button Publisher - no way via the Options dialogue to change the default as far as I can see I realise there may be hidden ways to achieve this but that shouldn't be necessary. I'm sure there are many other UI inconsistencies. As an aside, and for a chuckle, I remember writing a report around 1992-3 using Word 2.0. In the report I used the phrase (or something very similar) "Regular reviews should be held between Department x and Department y". Word's grammar checker paused at this point, highlighted "Regular reviews", and commented "Unrecognised or foreign phrase, do you mean rigor mortis". I nearly fell off my chair with laughter.

Not really. Office 365 Home Premium is the equivalent to Office Professional. Office Professional is $390 and you can only install it on one PC. Office 365 is $99.99 a year and you can install it on up to 5 PCs. So even if you have just one PC, it would take almost 4 years for 365 to match the cost of the stand alone version. And if you have 2 PCs the cost for the stand alone version soars to $780, thats almost 8 years of paying for 365...

They are the same, 365 has less money making schemes, but dumps everything on the cloud.
    365 is online, 2013 is 100% offline.
Also 365 will cost more in the longrun, especially if you dont upgrade for 3 years.
