Windows 10: MS-appx-web

Discus and support MS-appx-web in Cortana to solve the problem; I think this only happened since latest update. What I can gather is the only way to repair is re install everything and I am not confident on doing... Discussion in 'Cortana' started by NeilFaithfull, Jul 26, 2019.

    I think this only happened since latest update. What I can gather is the only way to repair is re install everything and I am not confident on doing such, so will put up with this inconvenience until some expert can advise me.

    You'll need a new app to open this ms-appx-web

    I cant open any web results in the Cortana search, when I try to it opens the error box with the text "You'll need a new app to open this ms-appx-web" can anyone help

    Looking for a particular web site ?

    I remember seeing this here but i can't find it using the search thingy.

    A guy posted a web site that had a comprensive list of all Windows update 32&64. I used to have it in my favorites before i formatted my HD.

    Does someone know it?

    They suggested a sticky for it but they never did.

    • From when are you facing this issue?

    • Did you make any changes prior to this issue?
    I suggest you to open Internet Explorer without the add-ons and check if it helps.

    Follow the steps below.


    • Press Windows +R.

    • Type “iexplore -extoff” without the quotes and hit Enter.
