  2. MS Assure disaster

    Since August 2018, I have had many very lengthy remote sessions with MS Assure on ticket #xxxx. They have not resolved the problems I raised in that ticket. Instead,
    THEY HAVE DONE GREAT DAMAGE TO ME.

    A few days ago, MS Assure re-installed Windows 10 on my PC — for the second time. As a result, I lost all my programs, all my downloads, and access to all my Outlook records, e.g.:
    • my Inbox
    • my Sent Items folder
    • my Receipts folder
    • my Archives.pst files
    • my Calendar

    MS Assure did not advise me to back up my files before this latest re-installation of Windows. If that was not gross negligence, I don't know what is.

    The problems I raised under ticket #xxxx still continue:
    • The computer freezes completely many times a day — requiring me to turn off the power manually to reboot.
    • The text-select function often behaves uncontrollably (various Microsoft and non-Microsoft programs).
    • The computer is often slow to respond or unresponsive to keyboard input (various Microsoft and non-Microsoft programs).

    MS Assure was in the midst of looking at the Outlook problems (in another lengthy session on a new ticket with an MS Outlook specialist) when my computer froze yet again.

    At this point, am terrified of dealing with MS Assure again. I am now in a crisis. I am gravely behind in my work — because of the problems MS Assure has created or failed to resolve, and because of the many, many hours I have had to spend
    online with MS Assure. But I cannot afford to spend countless further hours online with MS Assure in futile attempts to resolve those problems. So, I am left to try to work very slowly on my computer, dealing as best I can with those problems.

    A day and a half ago, I posted a message on the MS Feedback Hub to express the concerns noted above. MS has not responded.

    If any of you have thoughts on how I should proceed, I would be most grateful.

    Assure support

    You are not talking to MS employees here and I suggest you edit your post and remove your phone number. This an open user forum and anyone could take your phone number and call you.

    Can't you get in touch with the salesman or centre that sold you the Assure package.

    The $150 MS Assure Tech Support Plan Is A Fraud

    I purchased the $150 MS Assure Tech Support plan. EVERY time I attempt to use it, I get a message that I have logged in too many times, and that I should try again later. In almost a year, I have not been able to contact MS Assure and get the support
    THAT I PAID FOR. This plan is a rip off. MS has no intention whatsoever of honoring their contractural obligations. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PLAN. IT IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
