  1. MS DVDplayer app not working

Many people have been reporting for years that the paid MS DVDplayer app stopped working. I have searched high and low and support has not provided a correct answer. They keep assuming that it is a driver issue. It is not a driver or device issue, it is a MS software issue. How do people who paid for the DVDplayer app get it to work? It starts, and then immediately crashes.

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. MS DVDplayer app not working :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    MS DVDplayer app not working

Start button and search stopped working. Can't turn my computer off..

Using windows and w key didn't work at all but I found a different way to the same place and none of the options had anything to do with my issue.

So I tried your second suggestion and half of the apps didn't unpack. When I go into all apps, they're listed under Other as @(Microsoft etc....

I tried running through this a second time, but I have the same result.

Windows apps that are listed as @(Mircrosoft and can not be opened include:

    Store

    Alarm

    Messenger

    Photos

    Camera

    Calculator

    Maps

    DVDPlayer

    CommsPhone

    People

    ZuneMusic

    ZuneVideo

    etc

So tired of all these problems.
