Windows 10: MS Flight Simulator X Installation

Installed my box set MS Flight Simulator X on my new Windows 10 PC. Activation appeared to be successful since message appeared after activation code entered that said "activation successful". Then ran the game and after 30 minutes screen went black and got message that "demonstration period expired". Started the game again and got message that activation had failed. Ran the game for 30 minutes and got the "demonstration period expired" again. I installed the game in master ultra turbo administrator mode, so why is this happening. Went to the game homepage inside the game where it says "Flight Simulator X Steam Edition" WTF !!! 8 year demonstration period ?!?!

I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.

What is the make and model of your computer?

I suggest you to repair using the Repair for the Flight Simulator X installation.

To repair Flight Simulator X installation, follow these steps:

1. Insert the Flight Simulator X disc into your DVD drive.

2. Select Repair, and then click Next.

3. Follow the instructions to reinstall Flight Simulator X.

Follow the steps below on how to install Microsoft flight simulator xin compatibility mode:

1. Download the Microsoft flight simulator xfrom the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the Microsoft flight simulator xinstall and then check the functionality.
