Haha.. I found that bluetooth keyboard I was talking about. My wife is just using it as a stand for the ipad. It's not a bad brand, but it's not a good performer either.

 

I'm like the people in the TV commercial. I Want my money and I want it now! *Smile

You lost me when you said who needs keyboards on phones and tablets, everyone I know with a tablet uses a keyboard, and I can even see a use for them on phones.

But hey, what do I know, I use tablets all day long.

 

Yeah. some people use keyboards on phones and that's what I don't understand. If you want to carry around a keyboard, just get a laptop. A lot easier to use. *Smile same goes for tablets.

 

For a start a tablet is much lighter than any Laptop and a lot easier to use if you don't need the keyboard, but for the times you need the keyboard, its good to have a nice small light Bluetooth keyboard. That's my opinion anyway.

 

Most tablets today have matching keyboard dock/cover accessory. I would recommend those than a 3rd party bluetooth keyboards that you have to carry separately which defeats the purpose of portability. Plus you have solid connectivity. *Smile

 

We're all have are own special needs and desires, it is clear Mr. Badrobot has no need for a BT keyboard, and some others do. . .hope that clears up the issue. . .have a good time posting your desires. . .

Actually, almost none do. A few notable exceptions, like the Surface, and there are so-called "convertables" but in general, 99% of tablets on the market do not have specific keyboard or dock accessories.

 

If that is the case, it only proves my line of thinking that these devices doesn't need a keyboard by design except if one has special needs. But then, why get a tablet?

Hey, I am in no way stopping anyone. I never said don't get one. I only said I personally don't like the bluetooth idea for keyboard. I myself have 2 wireless keyboards with touchpads (logitech and microsoft) for my Raspberry Pi and htpc but none of them are BT.

***Oh, I lied, I have one bluetooth keyboard I got as a gift. Supposedly for ipad. I tried it once and that's it. Wife is using it as an ipad stand.



Again, back to regular programming.
