Windows 10: MS Mail

I am using windows 10 and trying to set up windows mail. Used live mail but it stopped syncing with Charter account. Since live mail is no longer supported I am migrating to Mail. My gmail sets up fine and syncs properly. But my ISP (Charter) email will not sync (with either live mail or Mail). Neither Charter nor MS would help with the live mail sync problem because its no longer supported so I trying to go to Mail - but I think the root problem is affecting both.


Here is the situation:

1. Charter account will not sync MS Mail on wireless laptop with Norton even though I have turned off email firewall.

2. Charter account will not sync MS Mail with hardwired PC with Mcafee

3. Same problem with 2 different computers

3. Charter router rebooted - no change

4. Wife's Charter account sometimes will download sometimes, but when trying to manually sync I get error msg 0X80072746


5. but ...took laptop to my church and connected to the network (Charter is their ISP too) and added my charter account to MS Mail and it immediately downloaded all of my emails from the charter account. Also - live mail accounts were all updated.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

MS Mail mouse scroll issue

I have tried all the suggested steps to no avail. Please note that the mouse works in all other aspects, just not in the mail reader. I can grab the scroll bar and slide it up and down but not by using the scroll wheel. Again this is only in the MS Mail
program only.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!
