  1. MS OneDrive will not launch - tried everything I know...

I have never had this issue with OneDrive....

I download, install it, and it will absolutely not launch. No taskbar icon, no service.

    Things I have tried:

    • SFC scan (found errors and able to fix)
    • DISM restore health (found errors and able to fix)
    • Compatibility mode
    • Running exe as admin
    • Cleaning registry, both auto and manually
    • Uninstall/Reinstall
    • Removing my non-work account
    • Using the cmd line to 'reset' OneDrive in %localapp%
    • (Edit) Disabling AV
    • (Edit) Rebooting before/after necessary installs/uninstalls or regedits

I am trying to avoid a general Windows reset but at this point, I am at a loss. I have attached a few different logs which might be helpful. I work in IT for my company and have confirmed there is nothing blocking the app GPO related. I have also confirmed that another member on my team is able to install both the MS Store App and the standalone software package integrated with Windows Explorer (which is what I want). I am able to use the Windows Store app version but it sucks.

Please let me know if anyone else has ideas.

    My PC:

    Dell XPS 15 9570

    Core i9 8950HK

    32GB RAM

    BIOS 1.8.1

Using Dell Command Center, laptop is fully updated.

Using dock, firmware fully updated, USB C driver fully updated

    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit build 17763.437 v1809

    Errors I am seeing:

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

OneDrive won't launch after latest Windows 10 update

    Hi ArZi,

My name is Daniel and I'm sorry to hear youre having this issue but I'd like to help.

I found this article that seems to relate to the issue you are having when trying to launch One Drive.

    https://www.tenforums.com/general-support/84857...

The article suggest the following steps.

"1) reset Onedrive. Win+R, type - %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset It may take a minute or two for icon to reappear. This will totally resync all your content so it may take a while.

If the icon does not reappear after reset and 5 mins, then force it by Win+R, type - %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe then OK

    2) r-click system tray icon, then Settings, then Account tab. Click 'Unlink this PC' You'll be prompted to set up your account again with your MS sign-in as if you're a first time user. "

Please let me know if these steps help or if you need further assistance.
